Presentation Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills-based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with an intermediate to advanced level of English who need to improve their presentations or will give presentations in their future careers. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to present powerful presentations. Specifically, the course will teach students to: Effectively start presentations:

  • Structure presentations for maximum interest 
  • Develop and use effective visual aids 
  • Present data 
  • Use their voice to exert control
  • Effectively finish presentations 
  • Develop techniques to connect to the audience 
  • Use powerful techniques to emphasize the main points 
  • Understand and build rapport with their audience 
  • Handle questions and the overall presentation atmosphere skillfully

During the course, students will be required to develop and present a variety of presentations to the class and teacher for feedback and evaluation.

Meeting Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills-based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with pre-intermediate level of English or higher who wish to improve their skills in meetings conducted in English. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to chair and participate in different kinds of group situations. Specifically, the course will teach students to:

  • Tell the difference between, and talk about, different types of meetings 
  • Confirm and reschedule meetings verbally and in writing 
  • Socialize with other participants before a meeting 
  • Open a meeting and get the attention of the participants 
  • Introduce themselves at a meeting and talk about their background 
  • Move through a meeting agenda and summarize what has been discussed 
  • Handle distractions and keep a discussion moving in the right direction 
  • Deal with strong disagreement and conflict 
  • Deal fairly and sensitively with difficult issues 
  • Understand and participate in a brainstorming meeting 
  • Adjust language and behavior to take part in a formal meeting 
  • Understand how to write useful, effective minutes 
  • Monitor action and evaluate performance in meetings

Telephoning Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills-based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with pre-intermediate level of English or higher who want to be more confident and to communicate more effectively. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to confidently conduct business on the telephone. Specifically, the course will teach students to:

  • Make and take phone calls 
  • Use the language of repetition and clarifying 
  • Practice common everyday phoning situations 
  • Plan a complex phone call 
  • Appointments 
  • Confirm arrangements professionally 
  • Sell via telephone
  • Take and leave messages 
  • Politely handle inopportune phone calls 
  • Use pronunciation to sound friendly 
  • Make small talk Invite people via telephone 
  • Complain and handle complaints

Communication Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills- based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with an Intermediate level of English or higher who want to be more confident and to communicate more effectively. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to communicate within the global community. Specifically, the course will teach students to:

  • Develop intercultural skills 
  • Communicate effectively both informally and formally 
  • Become a better listener 
  • Write basic emails 
  • Manage conflict 
  • Manage diversity and creativity
  • Manage first meetings 
  • Manage international meetings

Negotiation Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills- based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with an Intermediate level of English or higher who wish to improve their skills in persuasion, deal-making, and negotiating. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to successfully conduct win-win negotiations. Specifically, the course will teach students to:

  • Prepare for negotiations 
  • Establish negotiating procedure 
  • Question appropriately 
  • Explore interests 
  • Persuade effectively 
  • Summarize a discussion and communicate an outcome
  • Build relationships 
  • Initiate proposals 
  • Clarify and confirm language 
  • Bargain politely 
  • Handle communication breakdown and conflict

Business Writing Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills- based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with an Intermediate level of English or higher who wish to improve their writing of business correspondences, especially email writing and general report writing. 

Objectives: The course will give students the instruction and practice necessary to develop better-written communication skills across a variety of writing structures. This thirty (30) hour course aims to teach students how to: 

  • Recognize formal and informal styles of English 
  • Compose and respond to a variety of email types 
  • Open and close correspondences 
  • Use the appropriate style of email in various situations 
  • Be clear and concise Relate important business concepts in English
  • Write formal complaints and apologies 
  • Correctly use sentence structure, verb forms, and language 
  • Understand linking words and complex 
  • Link ideas to make coherent writing
  • Sentence structure Structuring various types of formats 
  • Structure a business report

Customer Care Skills
Description: This course can be offered between thirty (30) and one hundred (100) hours. It is a skills- based workshop designed for students who use English as a frequent form of business communication. This course is suitable for students with an Intermediate level of English or higher who are responsible for customer care in their professional roles. 

Objectives: The course will give students the language and confidence needed to provide quality customer service. Specifically, the course will teach students to:

  • Provide excellent customer service 
  • Socialize with customers 
  • Make arrangements 
  • Deal with problems and complaints 
  • Problem solve effectively 
  • Clarify and explain their language
  • Make suggestions 
  • Use small talk appropriately 
  • Deliver customer care through writing 
  • Give bad news and apologize 
  • Provide excellent customer follow-up
